What to Expect Each Trimester

First Trimester

Your first visit, ideally between 8 and 10 weeks, confirms your pregnancy, establishes your due date, reviews your health history, and includes initial labs and genetic screening options. We also help you manage early symptoms like morning sickness.

Second Trimester

Visits focus on your baby’s growth, the anatomy ultrasound, and screening for gestational diabetes between 24 and 28 weeks. It is also a great time to begin childbirth education.

Third Trimester

Visits become more frequent as we monitor blood pressure for signs of preeclampsia, check your baby’s position, and finalize your plan for labor and delivery, feeding with lactation support, and your postpartum recovery.

Prepared Before You Conceive

If you are still planning, preconception counseling helps optimize your health before pregnancy. To understand your coverage, visit our Insurance page and learn about the Cove Concierge Membership. Families visit us from across the South Bay, including Hermosa Beach and Palos Verdes Estates.
