We know starting with a new provider can feel overwhelming, especially during pregnancy, so we make the process simple. We are happy to provide new patient forms ahead of time so you can complete them before your appointment and spend your visit focused on what matters most.
Preparing for Your First Visit
To help your first appointment go smoothly, please bring:
- A photo ID and your insurance card
- Completed new patient forms, which we are happy to provide ahead of time
- A list of current medications, vitamins, and supplements
- Previous medical records, recent lab results, or ultrasound reports
- Your questions, written down so nothing is forgotten
If you are pregnant, call us as soon as you have a positive test. Most first prenatal visits take place between 8 and 10 weeks.
What to Expect at Cove
Appointments at Cove Midwifery and Women's Health are intentionally unhurried, typically lasting 30 to 60 minutes. Your first visit includes a thorough review of your health history, a conversation about your goals, and a care plan built around you. Whether you are coming in for preconception counseling, pregnancy care, or well-woman gynecology, you will be cared for by Certified Nurse-Midwives with Board-Certified OB/GYNs integrated into the practice. Insurance and Membership
We specialize in self-funded employer plans, which frequently cover our midwifery-led and concierge services. Before your first visit, our billing team offers a complimentary maternity benefit review. All patients are enrolled in the Cove Concierge Membership, and qualifying plans may reduce the fee to $0.
